O

UR TRIP to Togo and Benin began as a question. "What dreams do you have?" I asked Brian, my husband. His answer: that we go back to Africa! I was born in Zaïre and left at age 4. From 1990 to 1992, Brian taught English as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Liberia and Namibia.
We were thrilled when our friends, James and Charlotta, invited us to visit their home in Lomé, Togo. Our brief journey to this francophone region gave us vivid, happy memories.
